Transport Survey

We were studying about transport in Geography this week. Seeing as we are hoping to get our fourth green flag we are concentrating alot on transport. We went outside the school and took a survey on the most common modes of transport that pass the school each day. We did the survey in the morning and again in the afternoon to see what time is the busiest. The results were as we expected. Cars were the most popular mode of transport, more buses passed in the morning time. Very few cyclists passed.

Here we are concentrating on the doing the survey

European Languages Day

We had European Languages Day and to celebrate it, parents, minders and friends of the school who had a European Language came into each of the classes and taught us a few basics in that language. We had Rita, Liana and Mara's Mum who knows Italian and she taught us the numbers 1-10, how to say our name, our age and hello and good bye! we impressed her by how quickly we picked it up!

Childline Breakfast

We had our breakfast in school today!! Strange you might think but it was for a very good reason. It was to raise money for the organisation called Childline. We brought in our own cereal bowls and spoons and then the mums who kindly helped out brought around cheerios for us! it was great having breakkie with our friends!!The school raised €865 for the charity!

Army No.1 Band

The Army No.1 Band came to join us in our first school get together in CroĆ na Scoile. They showed us all the different instruments in their band and played lots of lovely pieces of music some of which we recognised from hearing in cartoons and movies e.g. SpongeBob, The Simpsons and Toy Story!

holiday brochures

We talked about all our lovely Summer adventures we had and decided to create holiday brochures to tell everyone about the places we had been. We picked a place or area that we had been to and designed a brochure for that place. Here are just a few of our wonderful creations.
