Alice Leahy Trust

Thanks to everyone who donated hats, scarves and gloves for the homeless. The school got a huge response. Other classes were collecting towels, socks, toothbrushes, toothpastes to name but a few. We can safely say Mount Aville will make a difference in some people's lives this Winter.

Christopher Columbus

We read about Christopher Columbus and his voyages. We found it very interesting and felt sorry for him that he died without knowing he had discovered America

The Water Cycle

We read about The Water Cycle and its importance in English and in Geography last week. We listened to a catchy song about it also(The girls loved the song!!!!!)
We wrote about it in our Geography copies and in pairs created these display posters.
We worked really well together in our pairs.
Here's a powerpoint to remind you of the steps of the water cycle and some pictures of us making the posters

Christmas Art

Our Clay plates depicting the nativity scene, nativity silhouettes and north pole descriptions.

Polar Express

We watched the polar express movie in class on the last day before Christmas. It put us in a real Christmas spirit as the children on the train have their Pyjamas on and we wore our pjs into school too!! Ms. O'Malley went around the classroom and collected our polar express tickets before the movie started. She also went around and served drinks and food just like in the movie too!!
